Simple Golf Tips: How to Lengthen Your Swing

What better way to take out some frustration and enjoy a beautiful day than with a round of golf?

And doesn’t it feel great when you see improvement in your golf game and start lowering your score? Even better, how good does it feel to win and beat someone good!

I’ve strived for that, and I know the importance of a good mental golf game and strong fundamentals. So that’s why I want to help you.

For you golf enthusiasts and amateurs out there, learning proper golf swing mechanics is not only important but, if you take golf seriously and want to play on a whole different level, it’s essential.

So, to get you going, I’ve included some information from a course I’ve found very helpful in improving my golf swing, named Simple Golf Tips. Your game should improve by simply incorporating this unique setup routine below and position to every swing you take.

As you will see, this system really is simple. You’ll see positive results from this first chapter, but I want to be clear that this is not the complete system. There’s a lot more to this swing than a sound setup!

I recommend Simple Golf Tips for 3 reasons:

1. I truly enjoy helping people, and only recommend courses that actually WORK. If you prefer not to purchase the entire system, that’s fine. In fact, if you even learn one thing at all from the tips below, then I’ve succeeded.

2. To show you that this book includes unique material that is new and changing the way thousands of people swing the club. It’s not just a bunch of stuff that you already know.

3. To show you that this system really is step-by-step, and that you will be guided through the complete swing in the same easy-to-understand manner.

You’ll be pleased to find out that golf CAN be a simple game, and that YOU CAN significantly drop your handicap in just 1 short week. The “Golf Swing Guru” who produces this course guarantees it with a 90-day, money back, no B.S. return policy–and he sticks to it. Most courses I review do. And most courses actually only offer a 60-day return policy, so the fact that this guy offers 90 days and will not back from it, is pretty dang impressive.

Hope you enjoy it.

Playing the Executive 9 Golf Course With Discount Golf Clubs

I haven’t played a round of golf in about 2 or 3 weeks. I wanted to see how my swing was compared to how I was playing golf earlier. I used discount golf clubs and am very pleased with their performance. I would guess that I am a bogey to par golfer. I have never figured out what my handicap is or even how to figure it. I usually try to play by the golf rules that I know, but sometimes I even stray from those.

Well, as I mentioned, since I haven’t played for so long, I selected an Executive 9 hole course that is a par 30. I like playing from the back tees. That way I get my money’s worth when playing golf. This particular course has a length of 1773 yards from those back tees.

As a little background, my golf bag has 4 woods. 1 is a 10 degree driver. I do not know the cc’s, but I usually drive around 250 yards to 300 yards. Not always straight, but I have straightened out my slice in the last year or so. I have a 3 wood, 5 wood and 7 wood. The 5 wood is shorter than the 7 wood. I think that was a mistake when the woods were made. My 3 wood goes about 220 yards to 250 yards. The 5 wood goes about 220 yards. The 7 wood goes about 200 yards.

My irons are 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, pitching iron, and sand wedge. The 3 iron goes about 190 to 200 yards. My 4 iron goes about 180 yards. The 5 iron goes about 170 yards. The 6 iron goes about 160 yards. My 7 iron goes about 155 yards. My 8 iron goes about 150 yards. My 9 iron goes about 130 yards. My pitching wedge goes about 120 yards. My sand wedge goes about 80 yards. Round this out with the putter. It is a blade type putter.

Back to the course, the first hole is a par 3 at 100 yards headed straight east. This hole has a 9 handicap, the ninth hardest hole on the course, or the easiest of the nine. The wind was from the south about 20 to 30 miles per hour. I used my pitching wedge and choked down to shorten the distance. I ended up right on the front edge of the green with the wind helping to bring the ball back to the middle of the fairway. The flag was in the front of the green about 15 yards on. I putted to about 3 feet and put the next putt in for a par 3.

The next hole was 173 yards par 3 headed east again. This hole is the 4th hardest hole. I used a 4 iron teed up and ended up on the left side of the green on a hill above the green. The wind pushed the ball a little to the left. I used a sand wedge to pop the golf ball up and landed about 4 feet from the hole. I putted for a par 3.

Hole 3 is a par 4 headed straight south into the wind. It is 352 yards long with trees on each side of the fairway at about 190 yards out. It is rated the hardest hole on the course. I used my driver off the tee and hit a little fade skirting the trees on the left side of the fairway. The ball landed on the right side of the fairway about 110 yards out. I used my pitching wedge from there and ended up short and on the left of the green. I used my pitching wedge again and ended up about 6 feet from the hole. 2 putts gave me a bogey 5.

Hole 4 is a par 3 at 141 yards heading straight west with a line of trees along the south edge of the fairway. The handicap on this hole makes it the 3rd hardest hole of the 9. I used my 8 iron teed up and landed the green on the left side about 30 feet from the hole. I didn’t read enough break and my putter left it down hill of the hole about 7 feet. The next putt was uphill and I left it short about 1 foot from the hole. The next putt was in for a bogey 4.

Hole 5 is 121 yard par 3 headed north with the wind. It is the 7th hardest hole on the course. I used my pitching wedge and landed the green short of the hole about 20 feet. 2 putts later and I had a par. My short irons are going fairly straight and about the right distance!

Hole 6 is a par 3 at 152 yards going with the wind to the north. It is the 6th handicap hole. I used my 8 iron teed up and landed on the right side of the green on a slope that allowed the golf ball to bounce left onto the green about 35 feet from the hole. 2 putts and I had another par. My putter is working fairly well!

Hole 7 is headed straight south into the wind with a gentle dogleg left. It is the 2nd hardest hole on the course at 324 yards and a par 4. I teed up and hit my driver. I hit a slight fade and the wind took it even further right into the rough about 120 yards out. That darned fade takes yards off of my driver. I used my pitching wedge and ended up short of the green about 5 yards. I used my pitching wedge again and ended up about 12 feet from the hole. 2 putts and I had a bogey 5.

Hole 8 is a par 3 at 110 yards headed straight west with a line of trees along the south edge of the fairway. It is the 8th hardest hole on the course. I teed up a pitching wedge and landed the green about 8 feet from the hole. I am very pleased with my irons and wedges so far. My driver isn’t working quite as well as I would like. I 2 putted and came away with a par.

Hole 9 heads straight north with the wind and is 300 yards long. It is handicapped as a 3 and is a par 4. I drove the ball to within 65 yards of the green right in the middle of the fairway. Again, it was a slight fade, but the end result was good. I used a sand wedge and landed the golf ball about 3 feet right of the flag and ended up about 5 feet from the hole. I was hoping for a birdie, but the putt just grazed the left side of the cup. Another put and I had another par.

If I added up correctly, I ended up with a 33, 3 over par. I was very please with this round, especially after taking off that much time. My irons, wedges and putter were working very well. My driver was a little short, probably because of the fades and wind. I ended up in the fairway 2 out of 3 times when I used it, so I can’t complain about that too much.

Smart golfers are very selective about what kinds of golf tips they are willing to integrate into their game. Sure, they may politely listen to another golfer’s take on their swing, but if you watch carefully they are usually extremely careful about what input actually gets tried out. This makes a lot of sense, because much of the information received through casual tips isn’t worth a whole lot! However, every once in a while there are changes in golf instruction that deserve attention, and one of those watershed moments are happening right now…

Golf Tips That Work with the Body

The interaction between the golf swing and a golfer’s biomechanical design has probably not received enough attention over the years. The best modern golf tips are able to utilize information and analysis from biomechanical scientists, kinesiologists, and golf instructors to implement pertinent information that makes it a part of the golf swing, to be used in each and every round. How does that affect the golf swing of the average golfer?

Changing the Game with Science and Golf Knowledge

Golf technology has certainly had an effect on the game, but the fact is that the information provided through Perfect Connection Golf Swing can likely surpass even those benefits for most golfers. Through utilizing the information gathered from biomechanics and health knowledge, this new era of golf instruction will allow them to forge a golf swing that offers consistency, reliability, and longevity, not to mention a diminished risk of injuries.

Using this scientific understanding of the ways that muscles and joints work together naturally, a golfer has the opportunity to become better and better over time. This doesn’t even take into consideration the ability to correct some of the hitches that may already exist in the swing. It will also allow most golfers to continue playing the game for many years to come without any stress injuries!

What Does It Take To Offer These Kinds Of Golf Tips?

The Perfect Connection Golf Swing was developed by an experienced professional golf instructor. He has painstakingly combined his years of golf knowledge and training skills with some of the most pertinent research work available from the biomechanical scientific community and health care experts. If you think about it, this is frankly the only type of experience that could successfully develop an effective system. Golfing with this system is far more body friendly than in the past, and the program is quite natural for people to implement in their games.

In fact, most are able to integrate their new skills quite well with just one trip to the range, because the swing is so natural and works with the body so effectively! If you are interested in taking full advantage of this research to improve your golf swing, then be sure to check out all of the details on www.perfectconnectiongolfswing.com, and start changing your game for the better today. There has never been a better time to look for valuable golf tips than right now!

Important Golf Swing Tips

Any golfer will try to follow a few simple golf swing tips in order to have that much-desired perfect swing. The firs consideration should be the grip. If you want to hit the ball straight, you must have a firm grip on the golf club. In order to have a firm grip, one should maintain the perfect stance. Weight of the body should be equally balanced. It is better not to be tensed, as the tension will generate within the club and as a result, there can be some fatal mistakes. The player should bend slightly on the hips, and there should be a little flex in the knees.

While hitting the ball, the spine should be erect. Right-handed players who want to have that perfect backswing will have to maintain a straight position of the left arm and move the body in the back as far as it is allowed. The tempo will be determined by the personality of the player. For some player it is difficult to move the body quickly as they have a slower tempo. If the player follows the golf swing tips, they can perfect the downswing too.

In order to have that perfect downswing, the head should be kept in the same position. The downswing begins from the hips and the head should be kept behind the ball till you have completed your follow through. It is better to use the right hand to generate power. The power will be generated from the angle which is formed between the wrists and the club. In order to have maximum power, the angle between the wrists and the clubs should be kept firm. In order have a perfect follow through; the club should hit the ball hard. Your head will always remain behind the ball. Although head of the player will come till the right shoulder, the chin should never cross the right shoulder. As a result the head will face the target for completion of the follow through.

The Golf Pitching Tip

A golf pitching shot will help you over some sort of obstacle such as long grass, sand, or water between you and the hole.

You can use a pitching wedge, sand wedge, or a 9-iron each of which will fly the ball a different height and have a different amount of roll afterward. If you are able to use more than one club to hit a pitch shot, you certainly more chances to be successful.

Therefore, golf pitching shot is about using a golf club with the right loft at the correct time because many golfers tend to make the mistake of using the wrong loft at the wrong time.

The pitch shot is really just a longer chip shot on the backswing, with a little more body turn on the downswing and follow through. During setting up, let your left foot moving backward from the target line. This will set your feet into an open position. The body line string is pointing well away from the target line. As you are aware, a full swing setup would see these two lines being parallel. However when hitting a pitch shot they are not.

Set your weight leaning a little bit more onto your left foot. This eliminates any unnecessary movement during the swing and will give you more consistency.

The ball should be placed right in between your heels when your feet are square. This is the middle of your stance.

At the same time, your hands should be slightly ahead of the ball which is also a strong impact position at your address position. To test whether your hand is in the right position, get into your final setup position and let go of your club. It should drop and hit the inside of your left leg. If your club falls between your legs, there is a good chance you will either hit behind the ball which is the scenario you want to avoid.

Having said this, a common mistake committed by many golfers in golf pitching shot is their tendency to ‘lift’ the ball up in the air even when making a pitch shot with a sand wedge.

When you are pitching over a bunker using a lofted club, (say 50 degrees of loft at least), just let the loft of the club do the work for you. Don’t try and lift the ball otherwise you’d end up either fluffing (A shot that flies substantially longer than desired) it or you’d hit it halfway up the ball, thinning the ball (the club often striking the ball near its equator) and flying over the green.

If you have got a seven iron in your hand and you try to pitch and roll the ball along the ground to keep it low, don’t flick your wrist and try to lift the ball up in the air because that’s not the idea of the shot. Many high handicapped golfers find they fluff it behind the ball because they try and lift it.

The idea is to keep the ball low and running, so you need to try and keep the club loft doing that work for you. Hence in all golf pitching shots never lift it up in the air since clubs are designed with the right degree of loft on them to do the work for you.

Simple Golf Swing Tip – The Cure For The Fat Shot!

This golf swing tip based on methods learned in a ground breaking new golf instructional system – The Simple Golf Swing.

This problem may be easier to fix than you think. You may not realize it, but your back shoulder may be dipping towards the ground. This move forces the club to hit the ground too early. Most of the time it happens when you are really trying to get into the ball. Imagine…You’re 200 yards out and you’ve chosen to hit the 4 iron. When you’ve got it in your head that you have to hit the ball hard to get it there, it’s natural tendency to start your downswing with the hips in an effort to “really get into the ball”. That may work in baseball, but not in golf.

I’d like to take you through what happens if you make that move in golf. First, get in the your setup position, now take your backswing and hold it at the top. Now move only your hips horizontally towards the target, and notice the way it forces your back shoulder to “dip”. If you’ve made that “dip” with your back shoulder, it’s over. You are going to hit behind the ball 90% of the time, and if you do make good contact, you’ll probably end up with a killer slice. Lateral movement is no good for the golf swing.

To avoid this problem, and to simplify your golf swing, keep the lower body out of the equation. If you really want to get into the ball, start your downswing with your arms. It’s tough to do if you have a habit formed, but once you get used to it, you won’t be hitting the ball fat anymore. Most golfers over-emphasize the weight shift. If you keep your hips still, the weight shift will still occur, but it will happen naturally.

Get to the top, keeping your leading arm as straight as possible. Now start down at the ball with your leading arm fully extended. Your head hasn’t moved laterally, and your hips haven’t moved laterally. Now to take this to the next step, imagine the entire golf swing, through impact, occurring underneath the upper body.

Concentrate on keeping your front shoulder strong and “down” on the ball. This will enable you to keep your swing on the correct plane, and it will help your hands to keep up with your body. Don’t let that shoulder come up and away from the target before impact as that will cause your body to get ahead of your hands leading to fat shots and slices.

improve golf game

Touch! In the game of golf it is just as it implies. Being harmonious with nature, and drawing from it that that you can’t see, or measure, but you can only feel or sense. Becoming one with nature and all else isn’t relevant. Just the golf course and you.

No matter how experienced or inexperienced you are anyone can play a round of golf anytime! That’s what makes golf such a fun game! No one, who is just playing just to play is too concerned about golf handicaps, good or bad. Just having the skill to be able to hit the ball is enough for some people. However for others it’s their life’s choice to perfect and dominate the game which makes a golf handicap a very serious issue. A lower handicap is to improve your golf game. Although a serious golfer’s aim is to finish a golf game with as few golf strokes as humanly possible, most still possess enough passion to find a deep enjoyable fulfillment in playing.

Where Did Golf Come From?

Clubs sticks and pebbles were among the first pieces of golf equipment ever used? It was said that golf originated in Scotland around the 15th century. Thin leather bags with feathers is what the worlds second golf ball looked like. Then around the mid 1800′s the third version of the golf ball was invented by a Reverend Adam Paterson and it was made from the sap of a Gutta tree. These type of balls could be hit to a maximum distance of 225 yards. An even better golf ball developed by Coburn Haskell surfaced 50 years later. This golf ball was the first one-piece rubber cored ball and it was capable of distances of around 430 yards. Later old scared balls would prove to out perform the newer balls and so the more familiar dimpled golf ball was discovered. Golfers purposely started to dimple their balls for added performance, longer distances, and basically was able to improve their golf game as an overall result.

Qualifications To Play Golf

Today golf is a world wide sport that many flock to because of it’s ease of introduction. It takes no experience to play golf, if you can hold a club you can play golf. Eventhough it can be lots of fun for serious buffs (follower and admirer) the real challenge is to go through an entire game using as less strokes as possible with the use of anything from the latest golf balls, clubs, and other accessories to greatly refined techniques and strategies that are highly geared to help you improve your golf game. Mastering your pitch shot is a proven technique that can quickly enhance your golf handicap! Proper placing of the golf ball after a well executed pitch shot can dramatically lower your golf handicap without doing anything else, and do it quickly and easily.

How Can A Pitch Shot Improve Golf Game

Properly executed pitch shots are done when the ball is hit and it lands as close as possible near the pin, requiring less strokes to place the ball in the pin on the putt. Consistency in making perfect pitch shots that slash your handicap is not only possible but key to lowering golf handicaps and improved overall golf game results. Learn how to hit shots that land closer to the pin and you’ll have the game in the bag, as the old saying goes.

The Real Secret Behind “Perfect Pitch Shots”

In a word “TOUCH! Not too many GOLFERS know what touch is. Who do you know, that you have seen play, that you would say possess touch? How about Tiger Woods? Absolutely! His pitch shots are remarkable, they very frequently land fairly close to the pin. Pay close attention how he does it. He has acquired a real feel for the greens or moreso developed touch. The short game is where 90% of all high handicap golfers have their problems, including but not limited to the pitch shot. It’s easy enough to fix, if one would just put forth the time to learn how? Simply put most people just don’t spend much time learning HOW to hit them. It’s a good thing to be able to hit a ball 400 yards but bad if you have to use 4 strokes getting it back up near the pin.

Beginner Golf Tip

There are many reasons that make golf more difficult than the other sports. One of them is the accuracy. In golf, you only have a small margin of error compared to sport like football. To become a good golfer, you must minimize this margin of error as much as possible.

One of the keys is “taking it slow”, you should take time to follow a few basic golf tips that every experienced golfer adhered to when they first started playing golf. Golf is a mental game with the intensity of concentration, focus, and pressure from an audience, one of the best tips that you can appreciate is to simply take it slow.

Most of beginner golfers tend to go out and buy a new club set and start by hitting a few buckets of ball in driving range then go out and play 18 holes in the next day. This is wrong, moving too fast will only lead to frustration and eventually you will quit playing soon. So spend your time in driving range and take a few golf lessons can help you understand the basic of golf. Do not try to push yourself too hard, before you knew how to swim, did you just dive into the deep section of your local swimming pool? Of course not. How could you expect to do the same with golf?

Here is one simple beginner golf tip that can be used to improve your golf basic.

Learning To Keep Your Golf Swing Simple
